Thomas Struth ha messo online il virtual tour della sua retrospettiva mid-career (1977-2002) in quattro città americane, dove è possibile vedere le riproduzioni (piccole piccole, ovviamente) delle opere e una sorta di animazione 3-D delle sale espositive.
Tra le opere sono presenti anche le installazioni Video Portraits – 1 Hour (1996-2003), 60 minuti di impercettibili variazioni nelle espressioni di volti in primo piano (anche qui).
Nel febbraio 2008 Struth ha anche realizzato dei video del chitarrista classico Franz Bungarten mentre suona musiche di Bach e Verdi/J.K. Mertz.
Precedentemente Struth aveva già realizzato dei video con Bungarten, un’installazione a due schermi frutto delle riprese di cinque lezioni di musica tenute dal chitarrista tedesco, dal titolo Read This Like Seeing It for the First Time.

Thomas Struth has put online a virtual tour of his mid-career retrospective (1977-2002) in four U.S. cities, where you can see reproductions (quite small, of course) of the photographs and a sort of 3-D animation of the venues.
He also included samples of the installations Video Portraits – 1 Hour (1996-2003), 60 minutes of imperceptible mutations in the expressions of faces filmed in close-up (see also here).
In February 2008, Struth made some videos of classical guitarist Franz Bungarten while he plays music by Bach and Verdi/J.K. Mertz.
Struth previously made another video installation on two screens filming five music lessons given by Bungarten, called Read This Like Seeing It for the First Time.
