Charity Vargas ha fotografato l’area di presidio militare della città di San Francisco, riconvertita ad uso cittadino dalla fine degli anni ’80 insieme a quelli di molte altre città americane. Una delle parti più interessanti del lavoro è l’esplorazione notturna dell’area, strade deserte popolate di costruzioni dalla doppia identità.

Charity Vargas made a wide series of images about the military presidio of San Francisco, transformed into a civil area at the end of the ‘80s, like those of many other American cities. One of the most interesting parts of the work is the exploration of the area at night, showing deserted streets surrounded by buildings with a double identity.
