Doppio gioco

Si dice spesso che in fotografia è impossibile realizzare qualcosa di realmente originale, ecco una prova piuttosto drammatica: dopo gli amati Lego Classics di Balakov, ecco una sorta di Playmobil Classics, dal libro Historia dunha Fotografía de Xoguete (Storia della fotografia giocattolo, grosso modo) di Marcos Vilariño.
Chissà se i due avrebbero piacere ad incontrarsi…
Forse il punto sta in quello che diceva Stanley Kubrick: ‘Ogni scena in realtà è già stata girata, il nostro lavoro è farla semplicemente un po’ meglio’.

It is often said that you can’t create anything absolutely original in photography, well here’s a quite dramatic proof of it: after our dear Lego Classics by Balakov, here comes a sort of Playmobil Classics from the book Historia dunha Fotografía de Xoguete (History of plaything photography, roughly translated) by Marcos Vilariño.
I wonder if the two would have pleasure in meeting each other…
Perhaps the point is simply what Stanley Kubrick used to say: ‘Every scene really has been done, our job is always to do it just a little bit better’.
